Eastern Guilford will begin its march towards a 3-A state football championship when the Wildcats travel to South Point on Friday night.
The Wildcats, who finished second in the conference to Dudley, are 7-2 on the season. Eastern’s two losses came against Dudley and Northern Guilford, who are a combined 18-2 on the year.
South Point, which is in Belmont, is 7-3 on the season.
The winner of Friday night’s game will most likely face top-seeded Pisgah, which squares off with Southern Guilford on Friday.
Friday’s game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in Belmont, N.C.
