“We were 15 points out of 1st place and were missing two starters who may have been able to help overcome that deficit,” said Atwood. “We will never know, but what I do know is the JV wrestling team absolutely dominated the JV tournament. In all, the JV team had 7 champions, 9 runners-up, and 1 third place finisher.”

Since Nov. 23, the Wildcats have competed in a quad and dual meet and have racked up 8 straight victories.

On Nov. 23, EGHS competed in their first home quad meet and won all three matches – defeating Reagan (75-3), Morehead (57-24), and Eastern Alamance (66-18).

The next day, the Wildcats hosted the Wildcat Duals and wrestled five duals winning all five. EGHS defeated Grimsley (66-18), Glenn (63-18), North Carolina Leadership Academy (84-0), McMichael (84-0) and East Forsyth (77-6).
