“The Thanksgiving food drive was a smashing success.” said LittleJohn-Lee
Eastern Guilford High School has not only met their goal but has exceeded it. The original goal was 15 families. We met over twice the goal.
“We fed well over 30 families. It was a lot of work but we did it.” LittleJohn-Lee said. “Special shout out to Beta Club, Student Council, teachers and parents for helping us give back to the community this year.”
This hard-working team delivered the food boxes to houses and passed them out when families came to get them. With such support, many families had food for Thanksgiving and will continue to be fed.
“We try to do a food drive every year because with Covid, food is so expensive. Many families don’t live close to grocery stores or don’t have time so it’s really up to the community to serve these families in times of need.” stated LittleJohn-Lee
